Third round of the Intercontinental GT Challenge was held on the legendary Japanese circuit, Suzuka.
Unfortunately for David Fumanelli and his Mercedes AMG GT3 a bitter withdrawal arrived after only two hours into the race, due to a gearbox problem that could not be repaired.
A real pity because the pace and the potential shown in qualifying, ended up with a brilliant 2nd position, was the prelude of a possible victory.
The extreme heat and humidity in the air would have played in favour of the Mercedes, always kind and gentle on the tires.
Next round of the Intercontinental series will be in America at Laguna Seca on 27th -28th November!
