Top 10 debut at Monza ///

 27.04.2017

David Fumanelli secured a Top-10 finish and his first points at the inaugural round of the Blancpain Endurance Series at Monza.

The Italian driver, supported by numerous fans and friends in his home race, has delivered a great performance in qualifying by signing the 11th time on 54 participants as well as first driver among the McLarens. A great result, in a top-level context with more than 30 cars enclosed in just one second!

The #44 crew managed to finish into the Top-10 thanks to a brilliant 9th place, with a great recovery by Fumanelli in the second stint, where he gained back a lot of positions lost in the pit-stop phase. First championship points then that will be crucial during the year, considering the level of teams and drivers at each race.

It was a positive weekend, I'm happy with what we did on Sunday race. The McLarens here did not have the speede to fight for the win or the podium and so, get into the points is a great achievement! The level is really high and you can’t make a single mistake, big thanks to the team for their great work. Driving in front of many friends and fans in my home race pushed me at my 100%, it was fantastic.
