Excellent result for David and his car mates at the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps!
After 24 hours of fierce battles on the legendary Belgian circuit, the Ferrari 488 #34, run by Scuderia Praha, ended up with a 6th place in the PRO-AM class, 23rd Overall out of 65 e cars and 3rd best Ferrari at the chequered flag.
A great achievement, thank to a masterful race conduct of the entire crew Fumanelli-Malucelli-Kral-Pisarik and to an excellent strategies’ management by the Team.
There were no mechanical problems on the Ferrari 488 GT3, who kept the pace for 24 hours without any kind of failure.
After a first judicious part of the race, Fumanelli and his car mates made a great comeback in the night, coming close to the Pro-Am podium. Then a Safety Car in the early hours of the morning completely changed the strategy, freezing the sixth place in Pro-Am class. In the final stages of the race, taking advantage of the confusion caused by an unexpected rain shower, they managed to gain few positions, concluding 23rd Overall.
The team was really pleased by David’s performance during the race and paddock rumours say that the Czech team is trying to confirm the Italian driver in one of the final races of the 24 Hours Series, an endurance racing championship.
